Summary/objective--summary and overall objectives of the job.
The summary of this job is to manage the front desk of the facility.
This includes answering phones, scheduling clients, overseeing online messaging through our software, and managing the flow of people in the lobby during pick ups/drop offs/lesson times.
Competency--knowledge, skills and abilities.
The skills required for this job are efficiency using office tools such as Microsoft Windows OS, Google Calendar, printers, and phones.
A friendly demeanor is appreciated as this is a customer facing position.
Supervisory responsibilities--direct reports, if any, and the level of supervision.
There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
Work environment--the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
The work environment is a typical receptionist position however you will be around dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
While we do keep the kennel room as quiet as possible, there are times where there is barking in the background.
Physical demands--the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
The physical demands require you to sit/stand at a desk for long periods of time.
Sometimes help take dogs back to their kennels at drop off Position type and expected hours of work--full time or part time, typical work hours and shifts, days of week, and whether overtime is expected.
This is a part time position Friday 8am-6pm and as needed Sunday 9am-1pm.
Required/preferred education and experience--education and experience based on requirements/preferences that are job-related and consistent with business necessity.
There are no previous education requirements for this position.
We would prefer the applicant to have a history with working around dogs, working in an office, or both.
